The season of Lent begins on February 17th, which is Ash Wednesday.  It will continue through Holy Week, and culminate on Easter Sunday morning, April 4th.   As a church community, we want to find opportunities to reflect together, because Easter is most powerful when we participate in Lent.

Below are the opportunities for our church community this year.

"Sacred Invitations:  Lenten Devotions Inspired by the Book of Common Prayer" - Our church community devotional book for the Season of Lent.
  • A limited supply of these books are available for purchase from the church office for $10 (call 410-838-8290)
  • You can also purchase an electronic copy of the book for 9.99 from Amazon or ITunes.
  • CLICK HERE for a letter explaining how to use the devotional during this season of Lent.
  • Each day, we will post a favorite quote from the book on our FB Community Page.  (Note:  You have to be a member of FB to access this page.)

LENT PRAYER Emphasis
  • Each week, during LENT, we will offer an in-person prayer group, and a Zoom Prayer group.
    • The in-person prayer group will take place  at 6pm on Wednesdays, beginning Feb 17th.  SIGN UP HERE.  Masks are required, and everyone will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines.
    • The ZOOM prayer group will take place at 6pm on Tuesdays, beginning Feb 23rd.  SIGN UP HERE.
  • 448 Challenge (read Philippians 4:4-8!) - Wherever we are, we encourage everyone to to stop at 4:48pm each day to pray together as a church community.  We will post how to pray each day on our public Facebook page and Instagram page.   These prayers will follow the prayers that are in the devotional book.
    • For those who are fasting social media during some or all of LENT, or do not do social media, you can CLICK HERE to know how to pray each day.
    • Wallpapers and Lockscreens for your phones.

FAMILY LENT ACTIVITIES.  We are providing resources for our children and teens and families.
  • For activities children can do during LENT, contact Heather Ingram ([email protected]).
  • For Family and teen activities, contact Jared Tucker ([email protected]).  Note:  This resource is for families to sit down and have conversations about the lenten season which includes weekly fast.  You don’t have to read the devotional, but it’s highly suggested.
