Senior Adults

Senior Adults are a very important group within our congregation.  While they participate in various ministries and are active in many places within the church, there are several ministries in particular that focus specifically on this age group.

50+ Ministry

Led by Shirley Bodine (email) and Margie Berry who organize 50+ luncheons every other month following the 11AM Sunday morning service.  This group also stays active with trips to area attractions such as Sight and Sound and special programs at Sandy Cove.

Solo Group

Coordinated by Pat Barwick (email) .  This is a group of widows who meet together every other month for food and fellowship. 

Parish Nursing

 A number of nurses from our congregation have entered into a specialized training program for parish nursing.  The Parish nurses provide a specialized service of pastoral care offering blood pressure screenings, educational opportunities and support for parishioners facing issues regarding their health or the care of a loved one. 

This ministry provides blood pressure screenings on the 2^nd Sunday of every month.
