ACTS CHURCH AT-HOME ACTIVITIES

Discuss/Disciple at Home

This series on Acts is a great opportunity to talk about the Scriptures you are reading with those in your home.  We believe discipleship happens primarily in this way.  In the daily emails we send out, each day will include a reflection question which can be a guide as you talk about what you have read.   This page includes a family-friendly activity you can do to dive deeper as a family into one of the passages for that week.

AT HOME ACTIVITY – WEEK 10

April 3rd, 2017 – April 9th, 2017

We are in the final week of our Scripture readings for ACTS CHURCH.  Take some time this week to sit down and answer the following questions, helping you to look back over the time you’ve spent in the book of Acts.

QUESTIONS YOU CAN ASK AND TALK ABOUT TOGETHER:

  • *If the book of Acts were to become a major motion picture, which character would you want to play?  Why?
  • *If the book of Acts were to become a major motion picture, which part of the movie would be the most exciting to watch?  (An idea for kids:  Give them some paper and markers, and have them draw out the scene!)
  • *Using the ACTS acrostic below, summarize what you have learned while reading Acts the last 10 weeks:

A
C
T
S

  • *How have you learned to be a better Christian by reading the book of Acts?  How do you think we can be a better church after reading the book of Acts?

ACTIVITY

Select one of the following verses from Acts.   If you’re really ambitious, select more!  Look it up, read it in at least 2 versions of the Bible, and talk about what the verse means to you.  Then, commit to memorize it as an individual, couple, or family.

Acts 1:8            Acts 2:38          Acts 10:34-35                  Acts 26:29
