Small Groups

The Young Families Group includes single adults, young married couples and young families with children ranging from the mid 20’s to late 30’s. The group includes people in all stations of life, including single or married, with children and without.  The group gathers frequently for activities.  For more information, contact the church office.

We also have a group called the “Mosaics”, ranging from just out of high school and into the mid-20’s.  Their small group meets at 11am on Sundays.  Activities are planned with this age group specifically in mind. If you would like more information about the “Mosaics,” [@encode@ email=”” display=”email Gregg Alsbrooks”].

Senior Adults are a very important group within our congregation.  While they participate in various ministries and are active in many places within the church, there are several ministries in particular that focus specifically on this age group.

SOS (Seniors Over 60+ Serving Christ) Ministry

Led by Shirley Bodine [@encode@ email=”” display=”(email) “] & Margie Berry who organize 60+ lunches and also stays active with trips to area attractions such as Sight and Sound and special programs at Sandy Cove.

Solo Group

Coordinated by Pat Barwick [@encode@ email=”” display=”(email) “].  This is a group who have found themselves to be alone later in life, who meet together every other month for food and fellowship.

Parish Nursing

A number of nurses from our congregation have entered into a specialized training program for parish nursing.  The Parish nurses provide a specialized service of pastoral care offering blood pressure screenings, educational opportunities and support for parishioners facing issues regarding their health or the care of a loved one.

This ministry provides blood pressure screenings on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

For more information on the ministries above, click beside the leader’s name to contact them, or you can contact the church office.

There are a wide range of opportunities to serve from Compassionate Ministries to Music and age level Ministry Teams.  There are not shortage of places to find a good match for your gifts and passions.  Many have found that a Mission Trip is very important in developing friendships with other members of the congregation.

You can find out more specifics on how to serve by exploring these areas of our site, or by contacting the Church Office at 410.838.8290 or Email Deb Sword.

We believe that Prayer is critical to the effectiveness of our mission.  Not only are people encouraged to pray regularly, but we have two groups that meet for prayer for our services.  One meets on Saturday mornings at 8AM and the other meets prior to service on Sunday mornings at 9AM.

Contact the coaches below if you’d like to be a part of a team, or check out the church calendar for a schedule of games and come out to cheer our team on!

Monday Night Basketball

Each week, a group gathers to play basketball at 7:00pm in the gym. Because of space, the numbers are limited. Contact [@encode@ email=”” display=”Pastor Gregg”] if you are interested in playing.

Fall Fantasy Football League

Every year, we have some fun putting together a league of sports fans (some not so much!) who want to play fantasy football during the NFL Season. If you are interested in this, contact [@encode@ email=”” display=”Gregg Alsbrooks”].
